ingredients

  • 1 Cup of White Lentils

  • 1 Small Onion

  • 1 Tablespoon of Red Chili Powder

  • 1 Teaspoon of Salt

  • Canola Oil


Directions

1. Soak lentils for 1 -2 hours.

2. In a pot add 1/4 cup of oil.

3. Add onions to the oil and brown.

4. Once onions are brown, drain water from soaked lentils and add to onions.

5. Stir and cook onions for a little.

6. Once lentils have been browned add 2 cups of water, salt and red chili powder.

7. Cover over medium and let simmer until lentils are soft.

8. Eat with it with naan, bread or just with a spoon.
